<지도에는 없는 Invisible-Scape>
– 2020, 21′, Documentary
Synopsis
There is a huge forest in the digital map of Yongsan, Seoul city. But I’ve never seen such a large forest in the city. I want to find that forest. As I approach the forest, all I see are endless walls and the facades of exotic-looking buildings. There were US Army nearby Zhongshan(中山) North(北) Road, Taipei City. But where are they? How can we approach to find them? There is nothing to find. It is sometimes bizarre to look at and understand the city we are living in. We are casting questions about the city. The landscape seems silent but it is making a voice on its own. We are facing the moment when the landscape from here answers the moment of there.

Note
At Yongsan in Seoul city, there is a US army base. Near by Zhongshan(中山) North(北) Road in Taipei, there was a US army base. Both places were built in the 1950s. Faint memories and history in the form of scattered materials cling to today’s landscape. In this project, three people living in Korea and Taiwan observe the surface of landscapes and discover traces of forgotten history. Their stories intertwine with each city’s landscape.
